About

Lisa began working with Live Love Animal Rescue in 2016 as a foster and adoption coordinator, and quickly learned that she had a knack for working with "spicy" dogs. She began to study dog training to better serve the dogs in LLAR, and later transitioned to dog training full time by founding Live Love Dog Training. Lisa holds a degree in Education and loves to bring her teaching expertise to the table when working with the human side of the dog-human relationship. As for the dogs, attending the Training Without Conflict Academy completely changed her training approach, but not her love of working with dogs with behavioral challenges. Focusing on play, fulfillment, and dogs’ emotional states has been an important shift in achieving true behavioral change regardless of the issue. As a Great Dane owner, Lisa has a soft spot for big dogs but also loves helping small dog owners learn how to transform their little one's behavior! In her free time, she loves to ride horses, rock climb, volunteer at wolf sanctuary Apex Protection Project, and take K9 nose work classes.
